Part 1
The basics
What is Hey Mocky?
Hey Mocky is an AI mock interview app. A voiced AI interviewer asks you questions out loud in a video-call setting, listens to your spoken answers and gives you a scored report with feedback on every answer.
Who is it for?
Anyone preparing for a job interview, in any field and at any level, from graduates to senior hires. The questions come from your resume and the job description, not a fixed list.
How are the questions tailored to me?
Before the call, the interviewer reads the job description to work out the role and seniority, and reads your resume to see where you fit and where the gaps are. Questions then adapt to your answers as you go.
How many questions does an interview have?
Up to 30, depending on how long your answers are and how much time you have. Each interview runs for up to 30 minutes.
Is Hey Mocky a live interview assistant?
No. Hey Mocky is for practice before your interview. It doesn't listen to or help with real interviews, and we don't recommend tools that do.
Part 2
During the interview
Which browser should I use?
Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop give the best speech recognition. Wear headphones so the interviewer's voice isn't picked up by your mic.
Can I type instead of speaking?
Yes. You can type any answer, or fix a misheard word in the live transcript before you send it.
Which call styles can I pick?
Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom. You get that app's pre-join screen and call layout. Hey Mocky isn't affiliated with Google, Microsoft or Zoom.
Can I choose the interviewer's voice?
Yes. Pick from four interviewers with American and Indian accents. You can preview each voice on the home page.
What's in the report?
An overall score and readiness, scores by skill, strengths, focus areas, a study plan, feedback on every question with missed points and a model answer, and communication scores. You can save it as a PDF.
Part 3
Pricing and account
Is it free?
Your first interview is free, for up to 10 minutes, with the full report. After that, interviews are sold in packs of 5 credits. See the pricing page for the price in your currency.
Is it a subscription?
No. Credit packs are a one-time payment, and credits never expire.
Can I get a refund?
No. All purchases are final, which is why your first interview is free. If an interview fails because of a fault on our side, we add the credit back.
Part 4
Privacy
Is my camera recorded?
No. The camera preview is only shown to you and never leaves your device.
What happens to my resume?
Its text is used to prepare your interview. The uploaded files aren't kept. Finished interviews, with your answers and report, are saved privately to your account.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Email support@heymocky.com and we'll delete your account and interview history.
