Behavioral interview practice that talks back.

“Tell me about a time…” questions are easy to read and hard to answer out loud. Hey Mocky asks them in a real call setting, picks examples from your own resume, and tells you where your story lost the thread.

What you'll practise

Built around your resume and the job.

  • STAR structure: situation, task, action and result
  • Conflict, failure, ownership and leadership stories
  • Follow-up questions when an answer is vague
  • Feedback on clarity, confidence and pacing

Sample questions

  1. Q1Tell me about a time you disagreed with your manager. What did you do?
  2. Q2Describe a project that failed. What would you change now?
  3. Q3Give an example of a deadline you nearly missed and how you handled it.
  4. Q4Tell me about feedback that was hard to hear and what you did with it.
  5. Q5When did you go beyond your role to help the team?

Your interview adapts these to your resume, the job and your answers.

How it works

Three steps, about two minutes to set up.

  1. 1

Add your resume and the job

Upload or paste both. Pick a difficulty and the skills to focus on.

  2. 2

    Join the call

Choose Google Meet, Teams or Zoom style and answer out loud, or type.

  3. 3

    Get your report

Scores by skill, strengths, focus areas and a model answer for every question.

Questions

Good to know.

Does it use the STAR method?

Yes. Your report scores each answer and points out when the situation, action or result was missing or unclear.

Are the questions generic?

No. The interviewer reads your resume and the job description, so it asks about the projects and skills you actually listed.

Can I practise a single story?

Yes. Add a custom instruction such as “focus on conflict and leadership stories” before you start.
