What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored hashed), plus sign-in sessions and security settings such as two-factor authentication.
- Interview inputs: the text of your resume and job description, your chosen skills, difficulty and instructions. Uploaded files are read to extract text and aren’t kept.
- Interview content: the questions, your transcribed or typed answers, feedback and your report. Finished interviews are saved to your account so you can reopen them.
- Billing: your credit balance and purchase history. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, used for security, rate limiting and choosing your currency.
What we don’t collect
- Your camera video. The preview is shown only to you and is never uploaded or recorded.
- Audio recordings. Speech is turned into text by your browser’s speech recognition, and we receive the text.
How we use it
- To run your interviews: prepare questions, voice the interviewer, evaluate answers and write your report.
- To run your account: sign-in, security emails, credits and receipts.
- To keep the service safe and working, and to fix bugs you report.
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes it
We use trusted providers to run Hey Mocky. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- AI model providers (such as OpenAI) to generate questions, voices and feedback.
- Hosting and database providers to run the app and store your account.
- Dodo Payments to take payments as merchant of record.
- An email provider to send sign-in and account emails.
- Your browser vendor, whose speech recognition may process your audio under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect your account and remember your currency. We don’t use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and interview history until you delete them or ask us to. Billing records may be kept longer where the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and interview history. Email support@heymocky.com from the address on your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to processing or complain to a data protection authority.
Children
Hey Mocky is not for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and tell you by email for significant changes.
